Hello, my name is Doug, and I am the clinic manager for Advanced Rehab and Sports Medicine in Monmouth and in Aledo.  I attended Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapy in 1992.  I then went on to complete my Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from SIU-C in 1993. I enjoy working with a wide variety of patients ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics, from the competitive athlete to the weekend warrior, and everything in between.  I have a strong manual therapy and strength/conditioning background that I utilize in my treatment approach for all my patients.  In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, volunteering at my church, and cycling/mountain biking.

Hello, my name is Jonathon. I am a physical therapist at the Aledo clinic. I have been practicing PT since 2012. I received my doctorate in physical therapy at Bradley University and my BS in kinesiology from the University of Illinois. I enjoy all aspects of physical therapy but see mainly an outpatient population of patients. I believe a hands-on approach, along with exercise, helps most people heal the best. My favorite part of therapy is helping people achieve their goals. I also perform functional capacity evaluations and help design work conditioning programs to help people return to work. When not working, I like spending time with my wife and kids. I like volunteering in several groups locally. To relax, I like to work on woodworking projects.

Hi my name is Tim. I graduated from Black Hawk College in 1997, with a Physical Therapist Assistant degree. I have been a PTA for 24+ years. I enjoy the outpatient setting working in several different clinics, meeting people from all backgrounds. I spend most of my free time either farming or watching my kid's baseball games.

Hello! My name is Drew, and I am a Physical Therapist and clinic manager at the Bloomington clinic. I received my bachelor’s degree in exercise science from ISU in 2010 and my Doctor of Physical Therapy from Governors State University in 2013. I love working with a variety of different patients to help restore function and return them to their prior activity level. When not working, I enjoy spending time with my wife, three children, 2 Australian cattle dogs, and 1 Siamese cat. We usually swim, have family bike rides, do arts and crafts, watch movies, and keep busy. I am an avid weight lifter and woodworker in my free time, and I love the outdoors.

My name is Andrea, I am a Physical Therapist Assistant at the Bloomington clinics. I graduated from Illinois Central College in 2017. I started my career with Advanced Rehab and Sports Medicine soon after graduation. In the past two years my experience has been focused on physical therapy at a Podiatrist Office. I enjoy the opportunity to travel to multiple clinics in the Bloomington area and work with patients in various age groups and backgrounds. Outside of work, my husband, Matt and I are trying to keep up with our almost three year old son, Jordan, and 10 month old daughter, Emmalee. Any chance we get, we love to have dance parties and play outside.

Hello! My name is Donnie. I graduated from Heartland’s PTA program in 2019 and joined the Advanced team a few months later. During my time here, I have come to meet and work with a plethora of patients with various diagnoses. I found that I quite enjoy working with ankles, knees, and hips! My favorite part about PT is the manual therapy – it is fun to find and get at tight muscles.  Knowing the patient will feel relief afterwards is motivation enough for me!

When I am not working with patients, I am at home with my family. We have a cat, 2 parakeets, 2 hermit crabs, a rosy boa, and an aquarium with all sorts of fish! Whenever I can, I love to snack and sleep. It makes my day when Minzy, my cat, joins me for a cat nap!

My name is Bob. I graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 2003 with a degree in Athletic Training. I have worked for Advanced Rehab & Sports Medicine since January 2005, I first started working in the Monmouth clinic in March 2008 but recently transferred over to the Bloomington clinic. I enjoy lifting weights and being active outdoors through fishing, hunting, hiking, and camping. 

Emily is one of our Physical Therapists at our Bloomington clinic. She graduated from St. Ambrose University in Davenport, IA. She's been working as a PT for 7+ years and has been working for us at the Bloomington clinic for 2+ years. Some of Emily's favorite conditions to treat are total joint replacements, rotator cuff repairs, and athletic injuries. Emily enjoys seeing the progress her patients make during therapy. Outside of work, you can find her spending time with her husband and 3 kids, exercising, and spending time outside! 

Jason grew up in Lewistown, IL. He attended Eastern Illinois University and received his Bachelors in Physical Education/Athletic Training. Prior to working at Advanced Rehab, Jason worked in professional baseball as an Athletic Trainer for 8 years! He spent 1 year with the Springfield Capitals, 1 year internship with the Boston Red Sox and 6 years with the Pittsburgh Pirates. Jason brings over 20 years of experience as an Athletic Trainers. He has been with our Advanced Rehab family at our Canton Clinic for over 13 years now and is the head athletic trainer for Canton High School. He also helps cover games with Spoon River College. Outside of work, he enjoys going on vacation, traveling with his family, coaching his kids’ sports and spending quality time with his family!

Meet Jordan! Jordan graduated from Bradley University with a Bachelors in Health Science. She then went on to get her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Bradley University in Peoria. Jordan has been with our Advanced Rehab family for over 5 years. We are very lucky to have Jordan on our Canton Team. When she’s not working hard to make sure her patients are pain free, Jordan enjoys spending time with her husband and yellow lab, named Captain. She loves watching movies, especially Marvel Cinematic Universe movies. When the weather is nice, Jordan usually has to force her husband to walk with her and Captain.

Meredith grew up outside of Fairview, IL, and lives outside of Marietta now. She attended ICC for their PTA program. She enjoys treating Knees, Ankles, and Balance issues. Meredith loves helping people in the community where she grew up. Having a sports background, she delights in working with athletes. When not in the clinic, she spends time with her husband and two sons. She also helps run Fairview Nursery with her best friend.

Cheryl has been a Physical Therapist since 1994. Over 20 of those years she has been with Warner Hospital and Health Services and she is currently the manager of the clinic. Cheryl is a graduate of Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor’s degree, and specializes in orthopedics. Cheryl lives in Kenney with her husband Ted, 100 Jersey cows, 2 horses, 3 cats and one adorable dog.  Fun Fact, Cheryl used to trick ride on horses and perform in rodeos.

Keith has been practicing physical therapy since graduating from East Carolina University Doctor of Physical Therapy program in 2017.  He is originally from Gastonia, NC and lived in Lexington, KY for 2 years prior to moving to Forsyth, Illinois where he currently lives with his beautiful wife Meghan. He enjoys working with general orthopedics, athletics, and the geriatric population.  In his free time, he enjoys working out, golfing, bowling, spending time with family, and rooting on all his favorite sports teams (Green Bay Packers, Atlanta Braves, and Kentucky Wildcats).  Fun Fact: Keith met his wife on a beach while on vacation.

Brooklyn began her career at Warner Hospital Physical Therapy in June 2017. She was part of the first cohort of PTA students that graduated from Heartland Community College in 2017. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband Jason, daughter Audrey, and son Ellis.  In the clinic, she enjoys sharing her love of functional movements with her patients- from babies, to post-partum moms, and beyond.

Shawn joined the Warner Hospital and Health Services P.T. clinic team in October of 2022.  She actually worked at the hospital 10 years ago and has come “home” to join our team.  She has worked in several areas of the medical field over the past several years.   In her spare time, she enjoys hunting, fishing and hanging out with her grandkids and dog. Fun Fact: Shawn was actually born at the John Warner hospital.

Zoie joined our team in 2022 after graduating from the PTA program at Heartland. Zoie was a softball player in high school and in her free time she enjoys reading and hanging out with her family. She currently lives in Bloomington with her white boxer dog, Belle and her boyfriend, Tyler. Fun Fact: Zoie's entire PTA student career occurred during the pandemic. 

Ariel Rhoades joined the Warner Hospital and Health Services P.T. clinic team in July of 2023.  She graduated from ISU with Masters in Athletic training.   Her favorite sport to cover is basketball but she loves to watch baseball.  In her spare time, she enjoys going for walks, playing tennis and traveling. Fun Fact: Ariel is the oldest of 6 children.

Melissa holds the duo role of Outpatient Clinic Manager and Inpatient Rehab Manager at the Galesburg location.   She has been employed by Cottage Rehab and Sports Medicine since 2012.  Melissa graduated from University of Illinois-Chicago in 1992.  Her experience includes acute care, outpatient orthopedics, Women’s Health, home health, long term care and healthcare management.  She recently became Level 2 certified in Reiki, a Japanese energy work technique.  Melissa and her husband, Tim, live in Knoxville with their three children, Elise, Erik and Cal.  Melissa is very enthusiastic about the future of Rehab in both the outpatient and inpatient settings.  She feels honored to lead such a fun and experienced staff, with the goal of helping each patient become the best versions of themselves. 

Jordan attended High Point University of North Carolina, where he obtained his Doctorate of Physical Therapy. He enjoys treating patients who have been dealing with Chronic pain. Watching patients improve their quality of life and exploring his own interests in a meaningful way makes this the perfect field of work for him! Outside work, he enjoys playing sand volleyball with his wife and friends, reading, playing video games, and working out.

I’m Erin and I have been working for Cottage Rehab in the Galesburg clinic for 10 years. I was also a rehab tech for 1 year prior in the Hospital during college. I graduated in 2010 from ICC with my PTA degree. In 2018 I completed the OPTA program where I specialized in orthopedics. I have a beautiful family, a daughter, and 2 dogs. My little family loves to travel and experience new cities, countries, and scenery.

Growing up in Peoria, Illinois, Anne graduated from the Illinois Central College Physical Therapy Assistant program in 2019 and works at our Galesburg Cottage Rehab clinic.

Anne wanted to originally become a Physical Therapist because…

“When I was 13, I had surgery for scoliosis and had to go through PT and OT,” said Anne. “It was then that I decided that I wanted to become a PT but somehow along the way ended up changing my major and went into social work. I was a foster care caseworker for a couple of years then retired to become a stay-at-home-mom. Later, I worked as a substitute teacher for pre-k-8th grade while my children were all in school. I then, decided that it was not a PT that I originally wanted to become but I did want to become a PTA, I wanted more of the hands-on direct care without the responsibilities that go along with being a PT.”

“I feel my strength is more of a great support team member than a lead. I love to problem solve in order to give my patients the most individualized and appropriate care that I can, for them to achieve their goals. I love to care for others, and this has been such a great vehicle for me to help guide others with their recovery.”

She loves being a PTA because she has a passion for helping patients problem solve their physical issues while letting them know they are cared for and loved.

When Anne isn’t treating patients, she loves to spend time with her husband and children.

“Even after 30+ years of marriage I never get tired of being around him,” said Anne. “I love to support his love of running and coaching high school cross country and track. I also love spending time with my four now adult children ages 18-28."

Anne also enjoys cooking Middle Eastern food, trying new recipes, and loves learning new PT techniques and approaches on how to help her patients!

Hi, my name is Brandon. I have been an athletic trainer since 2006, after graduating with a bachelor’s degree from Western Illinois University in Macomb, IL. I have worked in various settings as an ATC, including clinics, high schools, colleges, and strength and conditioning environments. I have worked at Cottage Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine since 2016, and I work with Galesburg High School and other area high schools to fulfill athletic training needs, and work with athletic directors and coaches to reduce injury risk through proper lifting mechanics and speed/agility activities. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my wife, playing volleyball, and helping her as I am able with her volleyball coaching.

I graduated from Black Hawk College - PTA program in 2018. I have worked for ARSM as an Inpatient/Outpatient PTA since October of 2018. I enjoy working in the acute care setting with the geriatric population and those who are recovering from orthopedic surgery. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends.

Greg is from Kewanee, IL. He has an associate's degree in Physical Therapy from Black Hawk College and a bachelor's in Fitness Leadership from Northern Illinois University. As a PTA, he enjoys working on upper extremity, cervical, and lower back issues due to his own history with each. Initially working in cardiopulmonary rehab, he loved spending time with patients and watching them progress in health, so he decided to go back to school to become a PTA. Outside of work, he enjoys fishing, golfing, and spending much time with his family, golden retriever, and beagle. 

My interest in physical therapy was sparked during high school when I received treatment from a local PT for injuries sustained during football activities. During treatment, I learned that physical therapists are specialized in treating a multitude of injuries and conditions to return people to their prior level of function or even better. I pursued my career in PT by graduating from Augustana College with a major in Psychology and a concentration in pre-physical therapy. I then attended Washington University School of Medicine — Program in Physical Therapy and received my Master of Science in PT in 1992. I have been working with Advanced Rehab and Sports Medicine Services since 1998. Over the years, I have achieved certifications in applied functional science, kinesiotaping and mechanical diagnosis and therapy of the spine to help me better assist people seeking help. I enjoy the challenge of working with clients to help them return to their previous level of function after injury or surgery and celebrating the successes along the way. I enjoy spending time with my wife, who is an educator, and my 3 children. I am a grill/BBQ enthusiast and enjoy spending time in the great outdoors hunting, fishing, ‘shrooming, and tending to my bees (when I’m not getting stung!)

I am a PTA at Advanced Rehab and Sports Medicine in Kewanee.  I attended WIU and received a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in 1992 and later received a Associate of Science Degree for Physical therapy Asst. from Black Hawk College in Moline in 1995. I’m Married and my wife Jennifer is a Nurse Practitioner, and we have two sons, Jasper and Emmitt. I enjoy working with a variety of patients to help return them to their prior level of function. When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my family and attending my boys sporting events and activities. I also enjoy building things out of wood and metal.

I graduated from Kewanee High School in 1998.  After high school I attended Black Hawk College in Moline IL for their Physical therapy Assistant program. Upon completing my last clinical rotation in 2004 at Advanced rehab in Kewanee, they offered me a position, and I have been with Advanced Rehab in Kewanee ever since.

I was born and raised in Kewanee. I am glad I can now play an important role in the community I grew up in.  My passion has always been to help people and see my patient progress to a better level of function in life. It is truly gratifying. 

When I am not treating patients you can find me spending time with my husband Russ, son Carter and our Labradoodle Lucy.  I enjoy outdoor activities (minus the bugs) and watching my son play basketball and football.

Scott is the Clinic Manager and one of our Physical Therapists for our Macomb Clinic. Scott got his bachelors in Chemistry from Central College then decided to get his Masters in Physical Therapy from the University of Iowa and graduated in 1991. Several years later, Scott went back and received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from St. Ambrose University in 2008. When he’s not treating patients he is involved with his 2 kids school and sport activities! He enjoys a good book to read, going for walks, and also assist coaches his daughter’s softball team.

Julissa is from Fairbury, Illinois. She graduated from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. She loves to treat to every ailment but has a love for anything related to Orthopedics. Her favorite thing about being a PTA is assisting people in regaining their independence through therapy. When not working, she enjoys hiking, camping, traveling, boating, swimming, and spending time with her family. 

Margaret is a PT and the clinic manager at our Moline location. She attended Millikin University in Decatur where she received her Bachelors of Science in Biology. She then went on to Washington School of Medicine in St. Louis where she received her Masters of Science in Physical Therapy. Margaret has been the clinic manager in Moline for 5 years, and has 30 total years of experience as a physical therapist.

Andy graduated from St. Ambrose University in May 1999 with his Bachelor's in Athletic Training and minors in Biology and Psychology. He then went back to St. Ambrose University and received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2005. He has been an Athletic Trainer for 22+ years and a Physical Therapist for 15+ years. Outside of work, you can find Andy helping his wife run their children to various school, church, and sporting events, working on home remodeling projects, officiating basketball games, coaching, fishing, and camping with his family!

Nathan is a PT at our Bettendorf and Moline clinics. He received his Associate of Applied Sciences at Black Hawk College, and then went on to receive his Bachelors of Arts in Psychology at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Lastly, he received his Doctor of Physical Therapy at Southwest Baptist University. Nathan specializes in Neuro-rehab with a focus on vestibular disorders.

Greetings! My name is Brian, and I am the physical therapist at Advanced Rehab and Sports Medicine in Monmouth. I graduated from Michigan State University in 2008 with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology.  I then completed my Doctorate in Physical Therapy at the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2012.  I began my career with Advanced Rehab and Sports Medicine in Kewanee, and I have been a physical therapist in Monmouth since 2014.  I became a Mulligan concept certified clinician in 2018, which uses the mobilizations with movement techniques for patient enhancement.  I enjoy working with patients from all age groups and background in my practice.  My wife Erin and I welcomed our first child, Alexandria, in August 2019.  In my spare time, I enjoy playing ice hockey and am an avid college basketball fan!
