Hello! My name is Drew and I am a Physical Therapist and clinic manager at the Bloomington clinic. I have been with Advanced for 7 years. I received my bachelor’s degree in exercise science from ISU in 2010 and my Doctor of Physical Therapy from Governors State University in 2013. I love working with a variety of different patients to help restore function and return them to their prior activity level. When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my wife and two daughters, 2 Australian cattle dogs, and 1 Siamese cat. We are usually swimming, going on family bike rides, doing arts and crafts, movie nights, and just keeping busy. In my free time I am an avid weight lifter, wood worker, and love the outdoors.
Hello! My name is Jenny and I have been a PTA here at Advanced for 5 years. I graduated from Governors State University in 2012 with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. I quickly learned that I enjoyed the physical health atmosphere more and went to PTA school at Illinois Central College and graduated in 2015. Prior to my PTA career I was a Massage Therapist for 7 years and wanted to further my knowledge and skills in manual therapy. I enjoy working with all sorts of patients with various ailments including post-operative care, TMJ disorders, low back pain, hips, shoulders, balance, and many more. I enjoy working out myself and love teaching my patients multiple ways to work different muscle groups to help them get stronger and improve their quality of life. When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my husband and two daughters, 2 Australian cattle dogs, and 1 Siamese cat. We are usually swimming, going on family bike rides, doing arts and crafts, movie nights, and just keeping busy. I am an avid runner and ran my first full marathon in 2019. I am also a major book lover so you can find me reading with a cup of coffee in hand while watching a thunderstorm. If I wasn’t a PTA I would be a meteorologist chasing tornadoes!
My name is Andrea, I am a Physical Therapist Assistant at the Bloomington clinics. I graduated from Illinois Central College in 2017. I started my career with Advanced Rehab and Sports Medicine soon after graduation. In the past two years my experience has been focused on physical therapy at a Podiatrist Office. I enjoy the opportunity to travel to multiple clinics in the Bloomington area and work with patients in various age groups and backgrounds. Outside of work, my husband, Matt and I are trying to keep up with our almost three year old son, Jordan, and 10 month old daughter, Emmalee. Any chance we get, we love to have dance parties and play outside.
Hello! My name is Donnie. I graduated from Heartland’s PTA program in 2019 and joined the Advanced team a few months later. During my time here, I have come to meet and work with a plethora of patients with various diagnoses. I found that I quite enjoy working with ankles, knees, and hips! My favorite part about PT is the manual therapy – it is fun to find and get at tight muscles. Knowing the patient will feel relief afterwards is motivation enough for me!
When I am not working with patients, I am at home with my family. We have a cat, 2 parakeets, 2 hermit crabs, a rosy boa, and an aquarium with all sorts of fish! Whenever I can, I love to snack and sleep. It makes my day when Minzy, my cat, joins me for a cat nap!
Eleanor graduated from Millikin University with a Bachelors in Athletic Training and a double minor in psychology and nutrition in 2015. Eleanor has been with our Advanced family for 5 years now first working at our Clinton contract before transferring to our Bloomington clinic.
As an athletic trainer Eleanor can be found treating patients in the clinic and evaluating and managing athletic injuries for our local high school and collegiate teams. On any day she can go from treating a hamstring strain in the clinic, to applying first aid on the football field, to managing a concussion return to play protocol. Eleanor’s favorite part of being an athletic trainer is solving the mechanical puzzles of the human body.
When Eleanor isn’t on the sidelines or at the clinic she enjoys spending time outdoors in her garden, playing guitar at church, watching her favorite Disney movie or eating her weight in ice cream!
